 Statement of Faith

1.  The Word of God

We believe that the Bible, consisting of 39 of the Old Testament books and 27 New Testament books, is the verbally and planarity inspired or God-breath Word of God, His written revelation to man, recorded by selected men without error in the original writings, and that it is, therefore, the supreme and final authority in all matters of doctrine, faith and life, and that there are no other writings similarly inspired by God.  (2 Tim. 3:16-17: 2 Pet 1:20-21: Jn 16:12-13)

2.    The Godhead

We believe in one Triune God, existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, eternal in being, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections, and worthy of all Glory, Honor and Praise.

3.  The Person and Work of Christ

We believe that Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became fully man, without ceasing to be fully God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man; and that as the impeccable God-man, He accomplished redemption for humanity and propitiation before God through His death by the shedding of His blood on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice; that our redemption is made sure to us by His literal physical resurrection from the dead, (Jn. 1:1-9, 14; Luke 1:35;Rom 3:24-25; 1 Pet. 1:3-5) that the Lord Jesus Christ is now in heaven exalted at the right hand of God, where as the High Priest for His people, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate.  (Heb. 9:24; Tim. 8:34; 1 Jn. 1:1-2)

4.  The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead who convicts the unsaved of sin, righteousness and judgment; who regenerates, indwells, baptizes and seals each believer at the moment of salvation, and desires to control his life to empower him for service and to bring about the changes life. (Eph. 1:13-14; Jn. 16: 8-11; Gal 5:16-24)

5.  The Nature and Depravity of Man

We believe that mankind was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adams sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, became alienated from God, and is totally unable, by his own efforts, to please God or retrieve his lost condition. (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:23-24, 5:12; Eph. 2:12)

6.  Salvation

We believe that because of universal death through sin, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again.  This spiritual regeneration is wholly a work of God and is not induced or aided by any attempts at moral reform, or by participation in any ordinance or sacrament whatsoever.  Salvation is a gracious gift of God which is received by personally trusting in the finished work of Christ, that his death upon the cross was an adequate substitute   for the penalty of sin. (Eph. 2:8-9; Jn. 1:12; Eph. 1:7; Jn. 3:5, 18; Rom. 5:6-9; Titus 3:5; Acts 4:1

7.  The Plan of God

We believe that in the beginning God created out of nothing, the world and all things in it, thus manifesting the glory of His power, wisdom and goodness. By this sovereign power He continues to sustain His creation, and by His providence He orders the affairs of men and nations according to His wise, eternal plan.

8.  The Eternal Security of Believers

We believe that all who receive Christ as Savior are kept secure forever.  ( Rom. 8:1, 38-39; Jn. 10:27-30; 6:35-38; 17:9, 12; 1 Cor. 1:4-8)

9.  The Church

A. The Universal Church:  We believe that the Church, which began at Pentecost and is distinct from Israel, is the body and bride of Christ, a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons of this present age irrespective of their affiliation with Christian organizations.

B. The Local Church:  We believe that God's basic organizational plan for the training, worship and ministry of believers in this present age is the local church, made up of born-again believers, called out to know Jesus Christ and to make Him Known. (Eph. 1:22-23; 5:25-27; 1 Cor.13:12-14)

10.     Ordinances

We believe that Lord Jesus Christ instituted the ordinances of water baptism and the Lord's Supper to be observed by His Church until His return. (Mt. 28:19-20; 1 Cor. 11-23-26) The practice of this church is baptism by immersion.

11.     The Holy Spirit

A. We believe that every born again believer shares the same union with, and position in Jesus Christ, affected once for all by the baptism of the Holy Spirit at the moment of regeneration. And that is the privilege and duty of each believer to be habitually controlled by the indwelling Spirit, and to manifest a changed life consistent with his profession.  (Gal 5:16; Rom. 8: 1-11)

B. We believe that the basic condition for living a Spirit-filled (fruitful) life is in the attitude of dependence on the Holy Spirit to control every aspect of our life. (He is Lord of all)

12.   Angels and Satan

We believe in the literal existence of angels as spiritual beings created by God to serve Himself.  Satan is real (Lucifer, son of the morning) who said in his heart "I will make myself like the Most High". And sinned through pride and was cast out of heaven and is now declared an enemy of God and man. (Job 1:6-7; Isa. 14:12-17: Matt. 4:2-11; Lk. 15:10: Heb. 1:14; Rev 7:12)

13.   The Blessed Hope

We believe that the next great event in the fulfillment of prophecy will be the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in the air to receive to Himself the dead "in Christ" and believers who are alive at His coming. (This is known as the Rapture and Translation of the Church.)

14.    Tribulation

We believe that the Rapture of the Church will be followed by the fulfillment of Israel's seventieth week, the latter half of which is the time of Jacob's trouble, the great tribulation. (Dan.9:27; Jer. 30:7; Matt. 24:15-21; Rev. 6:1; 19-21)

15.    The Second Coming of Christ

We believe that the great tribulation will be climaxed by the (pre-millennial) return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth to set up His kingdom and reign upon the earth for 1000 years. (Zech. 14:4-11; Matt. 24:15, 25; 25:46; 2 Thess. 1:7-10; Rev 20:6)
